Greg A Hunsucker

Greg Hunsucker began his career in the restaurant industry in 1972. He began his employment with V’s Italiano as a server assistant and worked his way up through the kitchen as a dishwasher, third cook, second cook and lead cook. Greg graduated from the Joe Herndon area vocational food service school in 1976 and in 1978 was promoted kitchen manager of V’s Italiano Ristorante. In 1980 he took over the reigns of the restaurant as General Manager and was given the opportunity to buy into the business in 1982 and did so.

In 1987 Greg became active with the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Missouri Restaurant Association, holding many committee chairs. He served as their President in 1991 and Chairman in 1992. He became active with the state association in 1996 and has been an Officer since 2000, serving as its President in 2003.

In 1998 Greg founded the 40 Highway Business association and still serves as it president. This association was created to help combat the deterioration and to promote the area as a great place to do business. He is active with his local Chamber of Commerce as well as the restaurant committee, which oversees the food service operation within his homeowners association.
