An Introduction into Kansas City's Pizza Scene With Owner of Pizza 51, Jason Pryor

This week on the show, we were pleased to welcome Jason Pryor, founder of Pizza 51, to the show. Jason shared how he transformed what began in 2004 into one of Kansas City’s signature pizzerias known for hand-tossed, stone-baked East Coast style pie, sandwiches, salads, and more.

He also talked about his exciting expansion into downtown Olathe, where his team is renovating a historic service station to bring Pizza 51’s flavors, and a fresh dining concept, to the heart of the city.

Beyond his restaurants, Jason remains deeply involved in the regional restaurant community: he’s an active member of the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and previously served as its President in 2008-2009.

Jason’s enthusiasm, local roots, and commitment to both tradition and innovation make Pizza 51 a story worth hearing, and tasting.
