To support effective advocacy, local membership activities, and a mission of service to the local restaurant community, MRA is comprised of five active chapters throughout the state. Each chapter is governed by a board of directors and led by chapter officers who are elected annually. Each chapter is also serviced by regional staff members employed by MRA. The purpose of an MRA chapter is to: • Conduct fundraising events that fund scholarships for local students • Facilitate local networking opportunities and an exchange of ideas • Develop and cultivate leaders in the restaurant industry • Inform local restaurants through knowledgeable guest speakers and timely seminars • Support advocacy efforts at the local level • Promote the ProStart School-to-Career program within the chapter area • Promote philanthropy and the mission of the MRA Education Foundation - a 501(c)(3) entity
